I won first prize in writer Donna Earnhardt’s poetry contest. The contest was to write a poem that included the phrase “the princess in me” (or one of several other phrases.) Here is my poem:

The princess in me was delicious.
Such a treat when I swallowed her down.
But the heartburn she’s causing is vicious.
I think that it might be the crown.

I have an article in the February issue of Parents Magazine called “New Tools for DIY Discipline.” I don’t believe it’s online yet but if you run into a copy, please check it out. Let me know what you think.

It’s been a long hiatus for the jodymace.com website, but now it’s back and, I hope, better than ever. Or at least easier to maintain than ever. I’ll try to keep by bylines section up to date with new publications. In this blog, anything goes. Well, almost anything. I have limits.
