My essay, A Change in the Wind, appears in A Cup of Comfort for Mothers. If you have a preteen daughter, or have a former-preteen daughter, you might identify with this essay.

I won first prize in writer Donna Earnhardt’s poetry contest. The contest was to write a poem that included the phrase “the princess in me” (or one of several other phrases.) Here is my poem:
The princess in me was delicious.
Such a treat when I swallowed her down.

It’s been a long hiatus for the jodymace.com website, but now it’s back and, I hope, better than ever. Or at least easier to maintain than ever. I’ll try to keep by bylines section up to date with new publications. In this blog, anything goes. Well, almost anything. I have limits.
